What does it mean to become a member of the Women and Families Network?
Women and Families Network is a partnership of nonprofit organizations, individuals, and agencies. It consists of three levels of membership, which are the following:
Voting member
- Signed to the collaboration charter and a memorandum of agreement
- Practices full voting rights at meetings
- Attendance at a minimum of 9 meetings in the calendar year
- Has right to present and discuss information which will require a vote
- Must be an active member of one of three teams
Non-Voting member
- Signed to the collaboration charter
- Holds no voting rights at meetings
- Assists in activities according to availability and need
- May participate in discussion but may not present new topics for discussion
Information and networking only member
- Meeting once every six months
- Are informed of all trainings and events

Membership/Representation
Membership is voluntary, as well, the WFN does utilize volunteers who are in some way connected to our mission. This includes family members, friends and care givers of People Living with HIV/AIDS. Women, youth and families living with HIV are valued participants of the WFN. Meetings are open to HIV-positive women and providers, and membership is by statement of intent. To become part of the WFN, persons should follow this process:
- Attend three meetings as a guest of the WFN following announcement of intent.
- Following attendance of three WFN monthly meetings, person will designate member role with the WFN chair.
